Hi Magdalene. Thanks for reading the post! It’s exciting to hear that you will stop by Con Son Island on your cruise. I didn’t know that was a port stop.

As with your question about the electric golf cart transportation and taxi, I think the electric golf cart goes back and forth from the port to the main Con Son area. Unfortunately, I didn’t pay attention if there were taxis at the port. I don’t recall seeing any when we were there but that may have changed.

I would suggest asking your cruise provider what they suggest for transportation as well.

Very informative. It was rather difficult to get details of the places to visit Con Son. We will only be docking there from a cruise for a day and would like a quick snapshot of the place. As the 4 of us are unable to ride the bicycle nor the motorbike, how should we go about renting the golf cart or getting a taxi from the port?

Thanks for reaching out about Con Dao.

The Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau bus ride was about 2 hours or so. The bus left around 4:30am and arrived past 6:30am. There was time to eat breakfast nearby before the ferry departed to go to Con Dao.

Yes, the ferry departed on time. Most people boarded 15-30 minutes before departure.
